Existing government to government agreement on protection of migrant workers

Despite being a prominent destination countries for migrant workers, Hong Kong has signed only one bilateral agreement in the field of labour migration so far. In addition, China has agreements with Qatar, Australia, Mauritius, Malaysia and South Korea.

New Zealand, 2010; The MoU aims at strengthening cooperation and dialogue between Hong Kong, China and New Zealand in the field of labour through appointing mutual contact points, consultations, exchange of best practices, and visits. Concrete cooperative activities are to be decided upon in the future.
