Our terms and conditions include a guideline for workers review that need to be followed when workers write a review on the recruitment agency, review moderation process, and fraud detection, the details can be found below:

Guidelines for reviews

Reviews of recruitment agency in Recruitment Advisor should only be written by workers who have had a recruitment experience that they want to share with other workers. These are:

  1. Workers who are still in their country of origin but have used the service of an agency.
  2. Workers who are still working abroad, in the country of destination.
  3. Returnee or workers who are back in the country of origin after working abroad.

We’d like you to share about your recruitment experiences. We value your contributions to our website and to other workers. We also want to make sure that RecruitmentAdvisor is a safe and trustworthy source of information for all workers. To help us achieving this, please ensure your reviews accord with the following guidelines:

a) Relevant

Your reviews should be relevant and helpful for other workers who will be reading your review to understand your recruitment experience with an agency. For this reason, please don’t include unrelated content, such as personal opinions about political, ethical or social issues. If you have a question or comment for Recruitment Advisor about our moderation policies, you can email us to info@recruitmentadvisor.org

b) Unbiased

Recruitment Advisor does not allow individuals or entities who own, manage or are engaged with a recruitment agency to publish reviews of their agency or competing agencies. Reviews submitted in an attempt to blackmail a listing will not be published. If you suspect a review is fraudulent or doesn’t meet RecruitmentAdvisor’s posting guidelines, you can email us to info@recruitmentadvisor.org

c) First-Hand, Original

The workers want to hear about your recruitment experience. This means no second-hand information, rumors, or quotations drawn from another person’s experience in your review. Provide reviews only based on your own experiences and be sure to include enough detail in your review so that other workers will find your advice helpful.

d) Non-commercial

Peer-to-peer reviews in Recruitment Advisor are designed to provide advice to your fellow workers, not to promote a service or business. Please don’t include commercial or promotional content of any kind, including requests for employment. We reserve the right to reject specific content for any reason. We do not allow reviews that contain links to external websites.

e) Respectful of Private Information

We respect your privacy and the privacy of the recruitment agencies we list. We want you to tell us all about your recruitment experience but please keep personal or exclusive information to yourself. This includes both the reviewer’s information and the information of others. Please do not include phone numbers, residential addresses or email addresses. We allow reviews to be done anonymously as well as names to be published to our site; however, we will remove last names. This includes the last names of employees or owners associated with the recruitment agency you are reviewing. Any reviews containing personal financial information will be removed.

f) Listed by RecruitmentAdvisor

A review must relate directly to the agency to which it is submitted, so please ensure you are submitting your review to the correct listing on RecruitmentAdvisor.

However, if your recruitment agency does not exist on our list, we want to know. Please contact us through this RecruitmentAdvisor form, so we can investigate and update our list. Please include as much information as possible, including any business names, company registration numbers, contact details, and locations.

Only recruitment agencies that place workers for employment outside their origin country will be listed.

g) Easy to Read

Please make sure that you use the correct alphabet or letters for your language and avoid machine translations that make your review hard to read. Please don't use HTML tags, excessive ALL CAPS, or slang.

h) Non-objectionable

In your reviews, please do not include any material that is unlawful, libelous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing, threatening, personally insulting, abusive, inflammatory, fraudulent or otherwise objectionable.

RecruitmentAdvisor reserves the right to remove a review or agency response at any time for any reason. The reviews posted on Recruitment Advisor are individual.

Any review that is written according to our guidelines, whether it’s positive or negative, will be posted by Recruitment Advisor. We do not influence or change the content of reviews.

4. How is the agency rated in Recruitment Advisor?

The recruitment agency is rated by calculating the answers to the binary review questions  submitted by the workers. You can find the weighing system that is used to generate the star rating for the agency HERE (replacing the previous version here). The review questions are based on the international rights and standards for fair recruitment devised by the International Labor Organization.

5. Which actions are considered fraud for the review in RecruitmentAdvisor?

     a) Attempts by an agency owner to boost his/her own recruitment agency’s reputation by:

  • Pressuring a RecruitmentAdvisor user to remove a negative review
  • Offering incentives such as any special treatment in exchange for reviews
  • Hiring an optimization company, third party marketing organization, or anyone to submit false reviews
  • Impersonating a competitor or a worker in any way

    b) Attempts by an agency owner to damage his/her competitors by submitting a negative review.

6. What will RecruitmentAdvisor do if an agency is believed to have submitted fraudulent reviews?

If we determine that there are fraudulent reviews submitted for an agency, a notice will be shown on our website on the agency info page, explaining that the agency’s reviews are suspicious. This way we provide more information to workers so they can make more informed decision.

7. How can web site users alert RecruitmentAdvisor about possible fraud?

To report any biased content, please e-mail us to info@recruitmentadvisor.org. We will research the complaint, and apply any necessary penalties. Please send us the date, title of the review, and any other information that help us understand the situation. We appreciate the help from our users.
