 Below information provides an overview of the existing bilateral labour agreements the Government of Saudi Arabia has signed.

Philippines, 2013 Agreement on domestic worker recruitment; to protect the rights of Saudi employers and domestic workers from the Philippines and regulate the contractual relationship between the two. It includes provisions ensuring that the recruitment, hiring and placement of domestic workers is in accordance with relevant laws, rules and regulations.

India, 2014 Agreement on labor cooperation for domestic service workers recruitment; to ease shortage of domestic workers. It includes provisions to ensure the authenticity and implementation of the standard employment contract, the recruitment cost, action against recruitment agencies violating laws and a mechanism to prevent cheating by middlemen; It provides minimum wages, working hours, paid holidays and dispute settlement mechanism.

Indonesia, 2014 Agreement on placement and protection of Indonesian domestic workers; to establish an effective mechanism of placement of Indonesian domestic workers, ensuring the protection of their rights and their employers’ rights and setting of a standard employment contract.
